For a certificate, it will take 1 year while diploma will take 2 years. Our short course on graphic design usually takes 3 months

Academic Qualifications

The applicant for a short course should have at least a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) or its equivalent , certificate program will require the applicant to have at least a D (plain) in KCSE, while a diploma requires at least a C-(minus) in KCSE.   • Introduction to Design Fundamentals – elements and principles of design (line, shape, space, balance, contrast, hierarchy)
  • Color Theory – color psychology, palettes, harmony, and application in design
  • Typography – type anatomy, font pairing, hierarchy, and readability
  • Adobe Photoshop – photo editing, manipulation, and raster-based design
  • Adobe Illustrator – vector graphics, logo design, and illustration
  • Adobe InDesign – layout design for brochures, magazines, and print media
  • Branding and Identity Design – logo creation, brand guidelines, visual identity systems
  • Layout and Composition – grid systems, print and digital layouts
  • Digital Illustration – hand-drawn and digital illustration techniques
  • Packaging Design – product packaging concepts and mockups
  • Introduction to UI/UX Design – wireframing, basic app/web interface design principles
  • Web Design Basics – design for websites, responsive layouts (sometimes includes basic HTML/CSS)
  • Motion Graphics/Animation Basics – (in some programs) intro to After Effects or simple animation
